1984 City origins: A 2-man team set up shop in Southampton, Hampshire under the Matchmaker Personnel brand.
1985 Professional status: The company became a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, the professional body for recruitment.
1988 Relocation, relocation: Matchmaker Personnel moved out of Southampton to an 18,000 square foot business plot in Whiteley, Hampshire.
1990 Introducing Matchtech: Matchmaker founder George paired up with old friend Andy to set up specialist recruitment agency Matchtech Engineering Ltd.
2002 Merging success: Matchmaker Personnel and Matchtech Engineering Ltd merged to form Matchtech Group plc.
2006 Going public: Matchtech Group plc became listed on AIM, a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange. The Group also launched the professional and training recruitment specialists Barclay Meade and Alderwood.
2012 In good company: Voted 25th in the Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for.
2013 Peer review: Awarded the ‘most respected agency’ title by our competitors. The same year, we acquired Oracle recruitment specialist Provanis.
2014 Pearly success: Celebrated the 30th anniversary of our ever-growing, ever-aspiring company.
2015 Global expansion: Matchtech Group plc acquired Networkers International increasing its global capabilities, whilst retaining its localised approach.
2016 A new identity: Matchtech Group plc becomes Gattaca plc, unveiling a new brand identity and structure.
